Robert Allen Palmer (19 January 1949 - 26 September 2003), was an English singer-songwriter. He was known for his soulful voice and the eclectic mix of musical styles on his albums, combining soul, jazz, rock, pop and blues.

The British star is best known for his hits Addicted to Love, Every Kinda People, Some Guys Have All the Luck and Didn't Mean to Turn You On. He was also a member of 1980s supergroup Power Station, which also included members of Duran Duran.

In 1987, he won the Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance for his song "Addicted to Love".
